The 9060 is a new expression of the refined style and innovative design that made the 99X series the protagonist of some of the most iconic models in New Balance history. The 9060 reinterprets familiar elements of the classic 99X with a visionary sensibility, inspired by the fiercely futuristic and technological aesthetic of the 2000s. Swing rods, taken from the 990, have been expanded and used throughout the upper to create a visible sense of motion, while wavy lines and scaled proportions on the sculpted midsole place exaggerated emphasis on the familiar ABZORB and SBS cushioning platforms.
